About the Network

What is the E1 Network?

The E1 Network is a vast directory of thousands of subcontractors on E1.

The Network, improves quote coverage, facilitates smarter subbie selection, and enhances your Address Book with detailed profile information.

Connected profiles are automatically updated with details published by the subbie, so your data is effortlessly maintained.

Where can I access the E1 Network?

You can access the E1 Network through the Network tab.

How can I find relevant subcontractors on the E1 Network?

First, select a trade from the dropdown menu. You can then apply filters to narrow down your search for subcontractors on the E1 Network, we recommend setting the location as a minimum.

You can filter by trade, location (including kilometre radius and service area), contract size, number of employees, and project category.

What information can I find in a subcontractor's Company Profile?

Subcontractor profiles on the E1 Network provide a wealth of information to help you make informed decisions. You'll find details such as:

  • their recent activity on the platform
  • ABN
  • location and service areas
  • trades
  • the project categories they work on
  • contract size they typically perform
  • number of employees
  • a company description
  • primary contact information
  • office locations
  • and a list of completed projects

How does the ABN retrieval work?

E1 will use the ABN from a Company Profile to retrieve associated details from the Australian Business Register (ABR).

It’s important to check and verify that the business details match the expected company information as part of your suitability assessment when engaging with new subbies.

You can view the retrieved information by clicking ‘Show details’. The results are drawn directly from the ABR site, and you can click the ABR page link to be taken directly to the results page. Click here to be taken for an explanation of ABR search results.

What does the ‘retrieved’ date mean in the ABN section of a Company Profile?

The retrieved date is unique to each user, and reflects when we’ve been able to retrieve information from the ABR.

What do the different statuses next to the ABN in a Company Profile mean?

  • Show details - we have found a match on the ABR, click ‘Show details’ to reveal the retrieved details
  • ABN could not be found in the Australian Business Register - no results were found in the ABR for the noted ABN
  • An issue prevented us from checking this ABN. We’ll try again later - a technical issue preventing a successful ABR look-up, we recommend refreshing the page a couple of times, but if the issue persists please reach out to our support team - support@estimateone.com
  • Checking the ABN - E1 is attempting a retrieval from the ABR, a result or alternative message above will be displayed shortly

What is a ‘Service Area?’

The Network has 2 location based filtering options:

  • The Office Location option allows you to set a km radius from your nominated suburb or postcode, we’ll check the subbie’s office locations on their Company Profile to generate matches
  • The Service Area option will draw information from a subbie’s nominated service area on their Company Profile, and is a reflection of where they will perform work regardless of office location

How do I connect with a subcontractor on the E1 Network?
